I am far from a Samsung fan, but the camera is quite amazing. It starts up within 1s. I think you got a dud or something. Two of my work colleagues have the Edge too and their cameras launch instantly. The pictures are stunning in quality.

The regular S6 is functionally better but it looks far too Samsung-y and designed by committee. It's not a look I like. The Edge departs from the usual Samsung look. It's not perfect but since HTC bombed I couldn't find anything else I wanted
