Sounds like android is trying to install the apps on the local storage instead of the SD card. The quick-fix would be to move data thats on the phone to he SD card like pictures and such. That way it wouldnt matter where android is installing the apps because both would have free space. Hope...

If the phone has a removable battery I would remove it. If not try what Tim1954 said or try the button combination for your phone which does a force reboot as it may be on and not responding.
