    Turned off WiFi and Mobile Data but was still able to receive SMS and calls. I looked at my battery stuff but am not sure if I'm in the right place. I've attached a screenshot.

    methodman89 Both texts and calls go through with it turned off, but not MMS (images and group messages).

    FYI I reached out to Cspire about it and they said that the data usage is necessary for phone function and cannot be turned off, even with Mobile Data set to off.

    methodman89 I'm the OP. Yes, Mobil Data is toggled off. The phone does not show any mobile data usage, but my carrier does. It's less than one MB usually, but it's constant throughout the day.

    That is a frustrating but helpful solution. I've had my mobile data off for weeks and my provider is showing abotu 1.5gb of usage in that time. I get $10 off if I stay under 2gb so it's really annoying to have it using data when I have mobile data turned off.
