'QuickShot' Feature... Why? Would you use it?

Reality check for anyone tempted to believe... 300k miles / (365*24) = 34 mph without breaks for food, sleep, or any other necessary function. "Local traffic" implies town/city traffic with speed limits >= 35mph and real averages probably no better than 20-25. Anyone who claims to drive...

    Galaxy S4 overheat

A failed battery would be the most likely suspect, and relatively easy to test by replacing it. However the battery might simply be discharged so put the phone to charge for an hour or so and see if it recovers. I suggest you monitor carefully for overheating when you try this, and be ready to...

Samsung Galaxy S 3 earphones in headphone jack have a lot of static noise

There are only two tests you need to locate the problem. 1. Try existing earphones with a different known good source device. 2. Try different earphones in your S3. This should tell you which component has the fault. Change the defective part.

    delected photos

Your first priority is to protect the "deleted" files by not allowing any of the deleted files to be over-written. If this was on a removable SD card remove it from the phone, and keep it disconnected until you have completed recovery efforts. You can buy adaptors to connect the card to your PC...

    new homepage layout

Look for the little "x" closer in the ads and news headers on the right sidebar. It should be somewhere near the top and persistent at least until you close the browser.

M8 Worst phone ?637 data used

Using the 3 network identifies you as a UK user, and UK consumer law should provide adequate protection if the device is a lemon with defects as you claim. However to recover your charges from the phone's supplier you would need to prove it is "not fit for purpose" so get everything in writing...

    IMEI changed to 000000000000000

This is a failed and incompetent repair which will probably cause problems in the future. You should make the repairer fix his error.

BBM for Android - Battery drain

OK, some practical figures. In 14 hours usage yesterday my work GS3 dropped to 46% battery. Busy day so most usage was voice and email, with BBM mostly standby/idle. Battery stats reported BBM at just 5% of the 64% used. 100*(0.64*0.05) = 3.2% of battery capacity used by BBM in 14 hours. I...

BBM for Android - Battery drain

Extra process loaded = more battery load, but it doesn't seem to be disproportionate. My feeling is the extra drain is mostly due to more screen activity.

    Huge battery drain...

McAfee strikes again. Clearly it has been running almost non-stop and keeping the device active. You should be able to confirm this, if you look in Settings / Battery it will show the breakdown of battery usage for each process, and if you tap the top entry (caption "(time) on battery") you get...

Why can't I login to AC? Redirected to Mobile Nations.

Your MobileNations login IS your Androidcentral login. The MN passport is a master login to all the MobileNations sites (AC, CrackBerry, iMore, Windows Phone Central). I can see something is wrong with your Passport account but I don't have the access to fix it. Please send email to...

    Really?

The need to enter a thread might be a clue. I know over at CrackBerry non-logged in members should get subjected to more ads, so maybe Tapatalk is having a problem detecting login status at the front page and only picks up the flag when a thread is entered I'm guessing in your screenshot the...

    can't remove my SD card

You can't remove what ain't there! If you want to prove beyond doubt that the slot is empty, find a spare card (steal from another phone?) and try inserting it.
