Mine was doing the exact same thing Basically every 5th or so time that I turn it on it only illuminated the two bottom soft keys. I followed Daemonwolfs advice and cleared the sview cache. My phone hasn't had any issues since. Its only been 24hrs but this issue was very frequent on my device.
