Your router should allow you to set static DHCP leases, mapping a static IP address to the unique MAC address of your Nook or other device. DD-WRT definitely does. If you're running CM7 you can run Terminal Emulator and type "cat /sys/devices/virtual/net/tiwlan0/address" to get the MAC address...

I think I trashed my CM7 SD card when I popped it in while 1.2 stock was still running. That gave me an excuse to clean install CM7 on my newer Class 10 card, which worked.
