I would have liked to use the command center, but can't with a 3rd party launcher. So I just use a weather/clock widget from HD widgets instead. I'm not sure if there is a ton of difference between the two in regards to battery usage.

I just returned from the Verizon store with my new Maxx. I went under Apps to try and disable all Amazon stuff. What other unnecessary bloat do others recommend removing/disabling from app management? Also, can these be removed from the phone all together, or only disabled? Is there anything...

That is incorrect. I am eligible and am on a Nationwide talk single line plan with unlimited data.

I am thinking of doing something similar to this. My fiance is currently on a separate plan (she happens to have unlimited data as well). If I add her to my account, and purchase the Maxx through her line, will I still be able to transfer the Maxx to my line and re-activate her normal phone...

According to the manager at the store I went to today, all unlimited data plans will default to 2 gig plans on September 1st or 2nd. I am not sure if he was trying to trick me out of my unlimited, but I told him we'll see.

I supposedly was grandfathered in with unlimited data. However, when I sign into "My Verizon" it shows my data usage out of 4 GB. Does it show this (4GB) by default when unlimited? Did anyone with an unlimited data plan actually sign in and verify their data with My Verizon after activating...

Well, I certainly tried, although to be honest I expected a flat out "no" from the get go; but figured it couldn't hurt to put a little charm on and try. :cool:

It is false. I called two other corporate stores who say they have the Nexus in stock and ready to sell tomorrow morning. 3 stores all told me the same story.
