Yes, I know, I said that already. The problem is that you can't set the notifications volume separate from the other volume.

is there a way (in ICS) to configure notifications to be silent but still leave calls etc to be audible? I thought there would be a 'Silent' option in the list of ringtones but there isn't. And if I select Volume Control it groups the notifications with other sounds.

Thanks for posting! I've been debating whether or not to try it. My current Liquid Sense 2.1.1 is working too well to consider changing unless I knew 2.3 was going to be better. Do you have a BT radio in your car? Or other BT 'audio device' with a status screen? I've been trying to find out...
