Before I got the pixel 3 I use and still do use, iSyncr app. Anytime the wife or I add music to Apple Itunes on the home computer I can sync it over WiFi to my phone.

It doesn't have to be Textra to do that... My stock Pixel 3... using messages for texting, you also can give each contact it's own notification sound.
