Llama - Who's Using It and Any Good Examples?

Are you using the latest beta from the developer's web site? Android lollipop (and up probably) prevent apps from lookIng at app usage in the way it used to be done. So app in front/back condition may not work properly. Try the beta if you haven't. Don't know what you did in Tasker, so can't say.

Llama - Who's Using It and Any Good Examples?

I only vaguely remember others have also "wished" Llama expands variable in its SMS action (meaning, it doesn't). I myself don't use Llama to send any message so I never looked into it, but if the dev didn't include that function then it doesn't. Period. It seems to me however, since Llama won't...

I don't think you can import anything Tasker into Llama. Your link uses Google maps API to calculate distance and duration. Don't see Waze mentioned anywhere. You should be able to access Google maps API to get your ETA without Tasker. Then it's just a matter of putting that output in a message...

I would... group all events into 4; used by all devices, only used by phone, only used by tablet 1, only used by tablet 2. On each device, disable the whole groups except the ones used on the device. Easy.

Considering your "loud" event triggers multiple times (that means your phone is in and out of "work" are between 1pm and 2pm), your phone could happen to be out of your "work" area (even if you are physically there) during the narrow window of 1 to 1:01pm. When that happens, your event never...

Llama - Who's Using It and Any Good Examples?

Hello, Francesco. Do you have other conditions to the event besides time from 1pm to 2pm? If so, the event is triggered every time other conditions are met between 1pm and 2pm. The easiest way to make it happen only once at 1pm is to get rid of all other conditions to the event. Plus, if you...

Go to "event" tab. Tap the clock icon in the bottom right corner.

Make sure Settings > apps > Llama > notification is checked. Ignoring the possibilities that something is broken (either the OS, Llama, or the hardware) or you set up the device to hide/silence notifications from selected apps, if you set up Llama notification to show and it doesn't, that means...

If you are on LTE, switch to 3G and use LTE only when you need it. Probably safe to say Llama will never work nice with LTE (absence of unique cell ID). If not, then this; kebabapps: faq My events have an enter/in area condition, and they're still not firing straight away. Only once I've turned...

I don't know if UCCW can do what you want. I know I can make 2-state, even 3- or 4-state toggles using UCCW, but as I said if there are other apps that do what UCCW does only with less overhead, do let me know. I will take it!! By the way, to "pop up" UCCW widgets when I want, I use this app...

Use UCCW https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.vineetsirohi.customwidget&hl=en. It lets you make your own custom widgets (Don't be intimidated. It's as easy as picking a predefined shape and color in the app, although it's highly customizable if you are into it. Mine is just a grey...

I think you forgot to mention 1. what app you are using 2. and by that, what you are trying to do If what you want is to run shortcuts and your app can't handle shortcuts, the next logical step is to ditch the app and find one that handles shortcuts. There are plenty.

Do it an easier way! Llama provides all of its events as a shortcut. So, in the app you want to run Llama events from, choose shortcut > Llama > then the event you want to run.

You can exclude WiFi radio from being disabled by airplane mode. Before toggling airplane mode, add an action: Locale plugin > Secure Settings > Airplane Mode Radio (or something like that). Here you can choose which radio devices airplane mode disables. Leave out WiFi from the list of the...

"Queue another event" is in the list of actions to choose when you make an event. But, if your current set of events work, there is no need to set up a queued event. I can tell you that my Nexus 5 running on Kitkat never failed to turn on either mobile data or WiFi automatically whether the...
