Beware of low quality chargers, they don't offer a good stabilized output voltage. Low quality cables have a very high ohmic resistance, so the voltage drops when it arrives to the phone. Try both genuine cable and charger and let's see first.

Thank you so much man. I don't know really why it comes enabled by default, since it dims too much the screen, and the brightness control built right in the app does not work well. Also the phone is more laggish with the power saving mode on, specially on the Galaxy S2.

I respond to myself. It's possible to backup to the device itself but Helium is required, and doesn't work with some devices unfortunately.

There isn't possible to backup applications or apps' data without root to the device itself. The only way is to the computer using adb backup. If you have root you can use Titanium Backup, however root may not be compatible with locked bootloaders, encryption or other security measures which...
