Dittos. Even found the setting to "allow rotation" on the home screen at the bottom of the settings.

I'm tossing my hat in and subscribing in case there is a solution that doesn't involve wiping the device. Ironically, I just switched from a BlackBerry Z30 yesterday with the primary goal of receiving updates directly without going through Verizon.
