The watch can use internet from your phone over Bluetooth. It will only connect to a WiFi connection when Bluetooth connection isnt available.

So I've given up and returned my galaxy watch. The battery just doesn't last long enough for me. I'll stick with my Gear S3 and hope that a software update (Tizen 4?) Brings some of the galaxy watch features to it.

Did the 42 start at 100% before your wife used it for the gym? I charged mine last night to 100%, wore it to bed and slept for 8 hours, when I woke up it had lost 17%. My S3 would've lost about 5%. Tonight I'll reset to factory defaults but and I won't restore my backup, so it'll be a...

I have the 42. Just to be clear, I can see messages from multiple sender's, but if I have 2 conversations with multiple messages in each, I will only see multiple messages from the last sender. Otherwise it the last message sent.

With the Gear S3, it behaved the same as your Garmin, you could only see the last message. With the Galaxy watch you can see all the messages but only from the last sender.

That's quite impressive for the 46mm! I currently have AOD off, GPS off unless running, NFC off and WiFi auto. I just did a reset to see if it improves things. I think I lost about 70% over 20 hours from my last charge.

I think this might be my problem. The first day I used it the battery seemed on par with my S3, but as I changed settings to match my S3 setup it seems to have effected battery life.

It's the ambient light sensor. The S3 had it too although it did seem less noticeable.
