Couldn't find any "secret" menu. I do have the option to sync to multiple Google accounts, but all those other accounts have 0 contacts, and are not syncing. When I open the same contacts on a PC, no the additional info is not displayed. So, obviously, there is another data source, but WHERE?!?!?!?

@SpookDroid First, thank you for your time in responding. Yes, it is happening for multiple contacts. In some cases, the custom number is the same as a "normally" stored number. In other cases, there are additional numbers and/or additional fields. I think you're onto something with storage...
