Update: I got second place in the competition with my map screen and have a new nexus 7 on its way to me. Thanks so much to those that voted for me and those whose work I have admired and learnt from. I've been standing on the shoulders of giants.

Not a designer, don't have an artistic bone in my body. I'm actually in Laos at the moment teaching English to Buddhist Monks. The great thing about Android is that anyone can have their phone just the way the like it.
