I would honestly holler at the Dev. This might be a bug in the software. I'm sitting here reading the instructions on the app's detail page on the Play Store and it doesn't look like you done anything wrong. If nothing else...just go back to the details page and redo the instructions step by...

Where are you seeing that it takes sim cards? The one linked is your plain run of the mill 32GB 2012 N7.

I want to let people know. If you do this, you're going to need to remove and re-add your Google account to the device. If you don't you'll get an error message whenever you try to update or download any app from Google Play.
