What's weird is since I updated, the first day or so my phone seemed to lag quite a bit, but is now seems noticeably faster that it was on gb. Coincidence?

No. Your launcher will not affect the update at all. I've used the manual update linked above so if you don't want to wait for the OTA, give that method a go.

Download the zip files and tools to your phone and then transfer them to your computer.

No intention to hijack, but since everyone here is using the Viper, I figure I'll go ahead and hijack anyways. I'm fairly new to Android and have had this phone for about 2 months now. I like the phone, love Android. That being said, I've been very tempted to root this thing for a while now...

So I guess I'll see you all here next month?
