I am having the same problem. Happens at least once a day. I will be in front of the computer at work and get an email notification on my PC but not on my phone, that's usually how I find it's in mute. My old phone did not have mute and I can't find any way to get rid of it.

Well, touching the volume key while pulling it out in the movie theater can cause it to go into mute. Just today at lunch I pulled out my phone to check something on the web and had 3 missed cals and 2 emails. One of the callers was at my office waiting for me. Not the best way to do business...
