Is Nexus 7 a good choice to watch movies in bed?

You said and I quote, "since I am a prime member I can watch all kind of movies and tv. Shows for free" That is BS. Apparently prime costs $79 per year. I am a Netflix member. I am going to watch "Orange is the new black" and then "Life of Pi" for free. Membership has its privileges. Oh, that...

What are your top 3 favorite accessories for the Nexus 7 2013?

My top 3 are a null set. This is a cheap extra tablet and I plan to keep it that way. Not saying it is not an excellent tablet, but I have audio accessories etc for a different ecosystem. As a bonus, avoiding cases and the like will keep this pleasantly portable device portable. It carries...

    Nexus 7 2013 wall adapter?

I wonder if the stock charger is Qualcomm "Quick charge" enabled. I know the new Nexus 7 has the Quick Charge battery management IC.

Is Prime free? If not then the movies and TV shows are not free.

Is Nexus 7 a good choice to watch movies in bed?

Have a retina iPad and now a 2013 Nexus 7. The Nexus 7 is fantastic for movies. 1080p content is jaw droppingly good on it. Order it now.

Nexus 7 ('13) vs iPad mini

Sounds like you aren't starved for hardware so I second the advice to wait and see if a Retina iPad mini is coming this fall. If you don't want to wait, go for the new Nexus 7. The performance and especially the display is fantastic. I was all ios, including a retina iPad until a few weeks ago...

Anyone received the new update that is being pushed by Google to fix multi-touch issues

I *think* I have noticed the increased single tap sensitivity as well. It was pretty good from the start, but not as good as my retina iPad. Wasn't (and still aren't) sure if it is just smaller touch targets that I needed to get used to or whether the Q update improved it.

Received the Q update in Canada. 2 hours GPS use (nav on cached Google Map) worked fine.

A note on music sound quality for iPhone and iPad users thinking of a Nexus 7

I had a PlayBook (often mentioned as a good sounding tablet), and now have an -iPhone 4s -iPad3 -2013 Nexus 7 They all sound (including my departed but not missed PlayBook) somewhere between very poor and poor. They may be passable for dialogue, but for music, forget about it. Get some decent...

    Good PDF reader?

Adobe Reader works very well on the new Nexus 7 and I see no reason why it would not work well on the older model. Annotations too.

    Best VOIP for 3g calling?

Agree Skype is excellent over 3G. SkypeOut is $3 per month for unlimited Canada and US calls to landlines.

Totally new to android. 1. How are you informed you got the update (presumably a message on the notification shade)? 2. How do you install (I am guessing a power down, then it is installed upon next startup)?
