The S3 MHL works perfectly on the S4. In fact, it works without power as well.

Sorry to hear about your reception issues. My reception isn't all that great either but the EVO LTE also has reception issues. There's a long thread about it in the Sprint forums. However, the reception on the S3 is slightly worse than the EVO LTE. So you may have better luck with the EVO LTE...

I don't see why not. You are given 14 days to try the phone. Doesn't hurt to try. I'm curious to see if the results turn out better for you. By the way, how the Verizon reception by you? Is it just as bad a sprint?

What edits did you make? Did you load a hacked prl to stay on verizon network?

Another con for the S3 is the terrible brightness. It is plain bad compared to the ONE X/EVO LTE. It is way too dim to enjoy on a bright sunny day.
