The button was so smashed I was able to remove it completely. I tried jabbing random household items where the button is...and finally a nail file cleaner http://www.forever21.com/images/large/00030237-04.jpg came through big time. It turned the phone on! Thanks for all the suggestions.

Yes. When I plug it in the "motorola dual core technology" screen pops up, followed by the 100% charged screen. But then it just goes back to being off. The phone is still fully functional, except I can't turn it on...
