Yes you can bring your number with. I just did that yesterday. There was a delay of close to 2 hours for the full switch to happen. But the girl said 8pm and it should be all done and it was. Just have your sprint account number with you when you go into the store.

That worked finally. The Samsung interface driver failed tho this time around but the driver I needed to work in download mode did load.
