Yea, I've followed those exact directions. I've tried it plugged in, not plugged in, debug mode on and off, usb plugged in and unplugged, yet when I put in the second code nothing happens at all I am rooted also Thanks in advance for your help

I must be a moron, I can't get get it to get into test mode at all and I'm entering the codes exactly as told, any suggestions?

Welcome to the light! I did the same thing when the Evo came out. I will honestly tell you that autotext is the one thing I CHERISHED with my BB and I have not found anything to replace it on Android just yet. Sorry to crush your dreams there, but its still so much better than blackberry...

I wasn't aware that the powers that be were so intent on closing up the holes allowing root. I thought that was only an apple thing. So is there a way to flash my phone back to the original software that it shipped with and start over again?

I try to load the PC36IMG.zip and I get an error that states: Main Version is older! Update Fail! What am I missing? Is there a new PC36IMG.zip? I have rooted this phone a couple of times but tried to go back to stock for the newest OTA. Any ideas?

where did you get your Seidio case? Did you have to order online? I only ask because I prefer to just buy in store so I can have it right away. Are they available in store?

actually since I initially posted, i found a froyo rom and one call OMJ, I am running OMJ as it gives me the free wifi hotspot, the froyo was still just for looks...not too functional at all

I rooted my Evo, but I have no clue where to search for custom ROMs for it. Any direction would be greatly appreciated.
