Chrome has never crashed on my Moto G. Although I use FF on my PC I didn't like it on my mobile for some reason.

Re: Maximising battery life - which charge cycle to follow? I always get a week from my phones, thats with medium usage, and I charge my phone when it gets to 20%.

Is there a setting to stop your phone from converting a message into an MMS? I often send texts more than 3 messages long and it then automatically sends it as an MMS .......thus rendering me with a charge of 50p per MMS from my provider as it's only texts that are free on my contract.

Haven't had a problem Rahul, mine works all through the house no problem and even picks up wifi from a neighbour 3 doors away.

They manufactured a phone just for Asian market men ........that was nice of them.

Don't worry James, if you plug the charger back in it will probably jump back to 100% in a few minutes. It seems to happen to most folks at least once and no one seems quite sure why. It may never happen again. It hasn't to me and I've had the phone for 2 months now. Try running the battery...

I won't be buying it as I don't feel it offers enough protection were you to drop the phone. I'm using a padded flip case that cost me ?3 and if grips and protects the phone much better than this flimsy effort from Motorola. Glad you like it though and thanks for the review :)

Have just found that Handcent does indeed give you the option to type in a massive screen Ponderosa. It's in the hidden menu at the bottom of the text screen and I just found it. It shows you 12 lines of your text before you need to scroll so I suggest you try Handcent and see if this solves...

Having the same problem myself Ponder, I'm using Handcent and can only see 3 lines of text messages I'm typing. I can scroll in it but would rather see my whole message from the beginning as I type. Maybe it's not possible with these apps :(

I'm using Handcent and my smilies send fine, you could try that maybe?

Re: new Moto G User with questions. I asked about this too but no one else seems bothered by it. It also doesn't bleep to tell you when it's fully charged which annoys me too.

If I were to read the permissions of everything I put on my phone I'd probably never install anything!
