Yeah, just in case people are still searching for a solution in 2014 (like me). I just found a way to fix this, easily. (Maybe the Bug has also been fixed, idk) Just set the alarm sound to "silent". Do the same with the notification sound. this way, even though your phone is not on "vibration"...
