What is dalvik and what is ART?

I have Verizon, and this symbol pops up every so often (see pic). It has happened about 3-4 time in the last 2 months. After rebooting the phone it is fine it just gets annoying. When the symbol shows up it says network not available. And suggestions.

I have attached a pic of my issue. See the arrow. I have had this symbol pop up about 3 times since I've had this phone. About 2months now. Every time it shows up it says network not available when I try to use the phone. Rebooting the phone solves this issue, but it is still annoying. And...

Does anyone know if there is an app that I can use to download songs, from Pandora or other streaming music apps, to my phone? My phone is rooted if that helps.

With Handcent can you reply to a text while in another app?

I know with the stock messaging app on the G3 you can respond to a text without having to open the messenger app, but is there another all that will do that also, our just the stock messaging G3 app?

Thanks I ended up getting it to work. I guess I couldn't download it through the Wi-Fi at work. I was able to find the latest version 1.2.0
