I also came from the ogEVO to the Photon. No comparison. Photon kills it in everything. Radio, battery, speed, build quality, etc. However, if you can wait I would. Newer phones will be faster, Tegra 3 is coming, and LTE enabled phones are coming out. Next few months will be interesting.

Xoom tablets have just got the update rolled out. Just give it some time and they should get to the Photon. There are a lot of devices for them to modify and test ICS on. No reason with the specs/age of the Photon that it shouldn't get ICS.
