For those of you who are saying you prefer the Windows method with the vertical list and the letters, I highly recommend Action Launcher. I've been using AL2 for the past year and just made the switch to AL3 last week. It's easily my favorite launcher and the fastest way to access apps.

No root. Stock ROM. The only thing custom on it is the launcher (Nova), but there's no way that's gonna cause any issues with YouTube.

Not every time, but once every couple of months is good.

This is misinformation. The stock AOSP launcher has 5 home screens. This cannot be changed without installing a third-party launcher like Nova or Apex.

I don't mind the back button, or even the recents button, but the home button being a circle just doesn't make any sense.
