I've noticed after the latest 4.4.2 update that the weather tag information is no longer showing in the photos even though it's turned on. Am I missing something?

You said "certain" iPhone users. Could it be that the ones you aren't getting messages from are sending them to your email address as imessages instead of your phone number. Imessage works with either.

In my opinion none is better than Textra. I'm a former iPhone user who has been very, very disappointed with the quality of texting apps for Android, especially when it comes to MMS. Textra works the best, hands down.

Try the app Textra SMS. It is by far the best MMS app I have used.

Not positive if this'll help or work, but look at SmoothSync. Might point you in the right direction.

Instagram has a similar function. From what I've seen, the developer must add the ability in to their app. Unfortunately there's no system wide ability like on iOS.

I'd base this solely on coverage. Ultimately you want a phone that works.
