There is a second 4.0.4 update for both the 10.1 and 7.0 Galaxy Tab 2 tablets. With the 10.1 model, it was confirmed that the second update removed local search support. It also added a couple of new features to the Samsung Keyboard (floating mode and split keyboard mode). As for the 7.0...

The second 4.0.4 update also adds new keyboard options (floating and split keyboards). I never use local search so I don't mind it going away.

In addition to the 5.3-inch Galaxy Note "phablet" there is an upcoming tablet, the Galaxy Note 10.1 and that will be Samsung's flagship tablet, as the current Galaxy Tab 2 models are midrange devices.
