From what I gather, this will only initially be available for Sense roms? AOSP later? Also will we have to flash that custom kernel for this to work? I'm guessing kernel developers could patch the HDMI in their respective kernels also? Sorry for all the questions.

You're not alone, I've had this exact same issue. I seem to be getting a wifi signal but data won't download. Usually when this happens I turn wifi off and it works fine over 3G. I've also noticed it only happens occasionally. Last incident being a few days ago, everything seems to be working...

I'm used to pocketing two devices (in the same pocket no less) my blackberry, and my ipod touch. The Evo will replace both. I'm looking forward to a little less bulk in my pocket. And yes that will be an Evo in my pocket and no I'm not just happy to see ya.

I hope that ProClip, Seidio, HTC or somebody will release one soon. Summer has begun and GPS Nav is one of the biggest features of the Evo.
