Moto G: Maximising battery life - which charge cycle to follow?

The good news is the battery is very easy to replace. 14 screws and a ribbon. New oem batteries are cheap too. So don't sweat it. Posted via Android Central App

    Cases for the moto g

These are OK but they gave me hand ache after a while. The best case I have tried so far was this one: N4U Online Motorola Moto G Premium PU Leather Pull Flip Tab Case ... http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00GS837TE/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_wGubtb15178X4?tag=hawk-future-21&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU3464139...

    Moto G- 8gb version.

Its a pit patchy in KitKat you'd be well advised to do some googling before making that final decision.

    Moto g, go for it?

The camera is awful and won't cut it if she takes anything more than a few snaps in the pub/club or w/e. It will even suck there too because it fails hard in low light .. I would definitely not recommend the Moto G for anyone who likes to use their camera a lot. That said, if she wants a good...

    Moto G- 8gb version.

I have both the 8GB and the 16GB and once fully set up with basic apps the 8GB has about 4gb free space. If I reserve 1.5gb for future apps, updates, downloads, texts, pics, video, photo etc. That leaves a working budget of around 2.5gb. Which is enough for the contents of my ipod nano and a...

Why I switched from Galaxy S4 to Moto G (in-depth)

Re: Why I switched from Galaxy S4 to Moto g (in-depth) The Moto G is a good phone but really, you're getting so much more from an S4. The screen size, quality, colour balance and resolution account for a huge chunk of a smartphones cost. Additionally the camera on the moto g is plain rubbish...

    Charging while in use?

Thanks for the info Shmotog. Yeah I guess given the impressive sales stats for these units and the fact they are so comparatively cheap, we'll see loads of hardware hacking and retooling material in the near future. Replacing the battery is something everyone wants to know how to do I am sure. I...

    Newbie asks about Apps

I am new here so won't spam replies too much but .. 1. I actually tried a few and obviously you should go with what you prefer. The ability to download and reuse offline maps is something I like, but given the devices memory limitation/s its not ideal really. You said you were on a budget, me...

    Moto G Screen Problem

If it wasn't happening in a previous version of Android then it has to be software, unless the unit has developed a fault since doing the update .. In which case a full factory reset (backup contacts etc) should resolve the issue. If it does not, and still has the fault you describe, with...

    Moto G Screen Problem

No i haven't noticed this on my device. I suspect you have a defective screen. The easy way to test if its a hardware or software issue would be to capture your screen to an image. If the artifacts are not present it is likely a hardware fault. Posted via Android Central App

    Charging while in use?

Awesome thanks for the swift replies! One more question I would like to ask (and forgive me if its been answered already as I am sure it has been asked) is has anyone got a link to some teardown info/pics; specifically with regard to removing the battery?

    Charging while in use?

Does the G have some circuitry to know when its on mains power? I ask because I plan to use mine in the car as a primary GPS device for many hours each day and I don't want to booger the battery by introducing an endless charge/deplete conflict. :)
