I was not rooted... but the rep did not check either (didn't even look at the phone for more than 2 seconds). Didn't ask for a demo to hear the problem.

Forgive my phone technology stupidity, but if I used the old SIM card from my old smartphone would that possibly work? Or is that SIM card "deactivated" or too old of technology (I had 4LTE) to work with the new phone?
