Just set your phone to a secure method. Require FPS, or PIN/Pattern to unlock it. Nothing accidental will happen in your pocket. Your thigh can't possibly unlock your phone by one of those methods.

I use Gallery, and upload what I want to Amazon Photos for permanent storage. I have photos stored to SD Card but most phone pics are of food or random things, not necessarily stuff I care to keep forever.

The widgets have no ads. But when you open up the full weather app, there's a small banner ad on the bottom. Non intrusive, imo. Never had a problem with it. It's highly rated.
