I didn't upgrade my S3 to 4.3, but my son's is and you can root and flash roms, just have to eliminate knox, and that's simple.

I always here people say that if you go to a AOSP rom, like a Google Play edition or a Custom Rom, your missing out on all the features. I'm not sure where they come up with that assumption. the features that Vanilla android don't have are the ones that don't work consistantly, they're buggy...

Nova is just a launcher, you're still using touchwiz, all the launcher does is change the cosmetic look. It gives Samsung an adult look, aka the Google nexus or AOSP look instead of a sesame street look! If you compare it to a AOSP rom you will find that its most definitely slower. You don't...
