    Sending Group emails

Use Contacts GroupU (it's an application). It allows you to set up groups and then with a tap choose to email or send a text and more. May not be the perfect solution, but it works well.

gmail calendar off by 3 hours on HTC Incredible phone

Really sounds like some time zones aren't set up properly, somewhere. First off, make sure your computer and google calendar online are set to the same time zone (PST in your case). Then check the phone itself. Make sure the time zones are all set the same for everywhere on the phone (I don't...

Any QWERTY slide-outs coming out on AT&T?

So, the good news is there is a phone, two in fact. The Samsung Captivate Glide and the Samsung DoubleTime, which AT&T just announced on Tuesday. More than likely the Glide is the better bet (MUCH better specs, e.g. dual core 1GHz vs single core 600MHz). The bad news is that there's no date...

Galaxy S2 vs Nexus Prime? Should I wait? Ditching iPhone

I think given that the announcement should come very soon, you'd be best to wait to see the news. The rumors going around are that the Nexus phone may come in two forms (eventually) but that it looks to be that at least one version (or the only version in the US) will be Verizon exclusive but...

iOS to Android - Need help

Few options for that. There's no "best" solution, so it's all a mater of preference. One option is to use Google Music, you can install their music manager on your mac and it will sync your music to the cloud so you can have access to it from your phone. There are applications to install like...

Using locked Android phone in WIFI mode only?

Best suggestion is actually to just buy a GSM phone (T-Mobile or AT&T) and then you don't need to worry about a clean ESN (as GSM phones don't have an ESN, they have an IMEI, but it's not required to register the phone on the network - the SIM card does that). If you are looking at a CDMA phone...

    Missing incoming Gtalk messages

So I'm loving the Nexus S, mostly, aside from this glaring problem I'm having. Any ideas/suggestions/help would be appreciated. Essentially what's happening is that when my phone's screen is off I'm missing some, but not all, incoming gtalk messages. I get gmail pushes just fine and on time...

    Changing picture source for contacts

No can do it seems, the picture would be set for the phone or google contact, which means the Facebook or Twitter picture would override it. It's really just a terrible implementation.

    Help with ADW Launcher

Yeah, something weird with those widgets. Adw will at least prompt for how large to make them but then stuff doesn't fill it right. Launcher pro just uses some other default sizes. But yeah, home switcher like people have said, so sad.

    Droid or Droid X

The Droid is pretty speedy, especially compared to most of the phones available (save the nexus one, the incredible, and the evo) but it's not going to be as fast as the droid x. The droid will be able to use all the apps, the os version is what determines use of apps in most cases (carrier...

    Changing picture source for contacts

Actually it uses google provided you don't sync facebook or twitter at all. But then that defeats a huge purpose of this motorola stuff. I miss stock where you have control over this.

    couple of newb ?'s

Browser - hit home. If you're trying to completely close out the window hit menu => windows => tap the x near the window you want to close. Mail - I don't know on that Ringtones - Install them to your SD card in a folder and in that folder use subfolders (alarms, notifications, ringtones) to...

Droid X wont pull Facebook contacts?

From my fiddling, motorola's facebook sync and the facebook application sync don't seem to play nicely together. I'll blame motorola here for whatever they've done, but I cannot get the sync from the facebook or twitter apps to work, only the default facebook/twitter stuff included by motorola...

    Froyo Big Difference?

Snapdragon processors aren't anymore amazing for multitasking than say hummingbird or OMAP. Snapdragon's CPU is based on the ARMv7 Architecture and is very similar to the Cortex-A8 (also based on the ARMv7) which is what is in the OMAP3 line (what's in the Droid and DroidX). The huge advantage...

    Froyo Big Difference?

edited then, you're right. I mostly notice the feeling when sliding between homescreens, the droid x seems somewhat "unrefined" in handling that. Haven't noticed an issue in playing with the incredible or regular droid or on the droid x with the use of a homescreen replacement. But that's me.
