Anyone else still planning on keeping their Note 4 awhile longer?

I wish you luck! Everything you said makes sense, if my Note 4 was falling apart I would also be looking for a new phone. But it has held up remarkably well. Nothing but a couple scratches on the screen!

There's no possible way a battery that has gone through 512 Cycles can still have 97% capacity. Not with lithium ion technology anyway. That app has to be wildly inaccurate.

I'm in agreement with paradox. I have several Galaxy Tabs from 4-5 years ago, my wife has a 1.5 year old S6 and while they still work the battery doesn't last anywhere near as long as when we bought them. SOT is probably half of what it was. Lithium ion batteries degrade with use, scientific...

Agreed. I am definitely keeping my eye on the Note 8 but if the$1000 rumors are true I'll be passing, too rich for my blood.

Very cool. Glad that helped! I find the phone stays fairly nimble for about 6-9 months after a factory reset and then slowly starts lagging again as I load it up again with more crap.

Have you done a factory reset lately? I factory reset after every major OS update and usually every six months in my note runs pretty smooth. Unfortunately burn-in you can't do much about...

I will definitely miss the removable battery as well. It'll probably be cheap phones from here on out for me. No way I'm paying $700+ dollars for a phone with a sealed battery.

Out of curiosity, how many out there still plan on using their Note 4 as their main phone for the foreseeable future? My GN4 is still going strong, minor lag here or there, but other than that I have no complaints. There's no noticable screen burn-in. I've recently purchased several Anker...

My galaxy note 4 started acting strange.

Peel remote got ridiculous with ads in the last 6 months. I uninstalled it and bought the Galaxy Universal Remote app. Works like a charm and still using the IR blaster everyday.

    Moving On from Note 4

I just ordered another Anker battery for my Note 4 today so I'm good to go for awhile. I'll definitely give consideration to the Note 8 when that arrives but honestly I'm more than happy to stick with my Note 4 for another year. It's been receiving regular security updates from Verizon, just...

    Anyone Own a Note 4 that Doesn't Crash/Reboot?

If you tried all that and the phone is still not working I think you're right.

On my last OS upgrade, my Samsung Note 4 has not worked properly any more, is there a fix to this?

A cache partition wipe would be a good place to start. If that doesn't work I'd factory reset the phone.

    Anyone Own a Note 4 that Doesn't Crash/Reboot?

My GN4 would periodically restart (1-2 times a day) for no apparent reason after I updated to Marshmallow. After I completely wiped my SD card the random reboots went away. I'll get 1-2 a month now max.
