Battery life terrible after last Verizon update

Like the titles says, since the last Verizon update to my S10, my battery life is awful. I used to last a whole day and go to bed with at least 50% capacity remaining, and suddenly I'm having to charge it by dinner. It was downloaded on March 19 and shows "Software updated to G973USQU5GUBH"...

    Samsung Pay no longer works

Been meaning to update this. Discover was of no help, but when I tried it again last week, it was working again. And it's been fine ever since. Sometimes I suspect companies know there's an issue, but won't admit it, and they silently fix it. Anyway, thanks for everyone's input.

    Samsung Pay no longer works

Yes, it's the same 4 or 5 places I've always used it. And, when Samsung Pay fails, I've been using the physical Discover card. I'll note also, these are major stores, like Target.

    Samsung Pay no longer works

It's a Discover card that's being problematic. My American Express went right through (but the rewards aren't as good :D)

    Samsung Pay no longer works

The thing is, when you add the card, it says it's "Contacting the cardholder for authorization", and in fact I got a text from them saying they did so. So I don't know. But I think you're right, it's something on their side. Just have to get in the right mood to call them and likely sit in the...

    Samsung Pay no longer works

First a real mea culpa to 808Mobi - my flip response was uncalled for when they were only trying to help, and I apologize to them and everyone else here. I was not having a good day, but that's no excuse for my post. Secondly, this morning I first cleared the Samsung Pay app cache and data...

    Samsung Pay no longer works

Ok, I get it, sorry. Was a bit frustrated atm.

    Samsung Pay no longer works

Ok, yaay you. Not sure how that addresses my issue.

    Samsung Pay no longer works

In the app, Settings -> Reset. It deletes everything, and when you restart the app, it behaves as a new install. You have to re-enter all personal info, re-add your cards, etc. I didn't think to manually clear the cache, as it appears to do that anyway. I am not using a third-party launcher and...

    Samsung Pay no longer works

I think it happened when my S10 (on Verizon) received the Android 11 upgrade. Samsung Pay has always worked flawlessly for me (even when the cashier told me it wouldn't! :D) But now it just won't, even places I've been using it since Day 1 (like Target) , it throws a read error every time. I've...

PIN won't work after fingerprint update; can't access phone.

Same. I applied update without issue, and the instructions are unclear about the need to remove the factory screen protector and re-register prints. I've always been set for Password on restart, not PIN, and it behaved as always.

Verizon Galaxy S8 Phone number links no longer show in text messages

Like the Title says - until about a week ago, if there was a phone number in a text message (I use Message+), it was highlighted and I could simply tap it to dial the number. That no longer happens, isn't highlighted nor clickable. Did I inadvertently change a setting somewhere? I've looked and...

    Oreo battery life

I believe mine is improved somewhat tbh

Verizon Galaxy S8 Wi-Fi won't stay connected to FiOS Router

I went down all of those roads as well. Here's the full scoop: My 2.4 and 5 bands both had the same name, which always worked before. It's a lot more convenient, as everyone's device connects on whatever band it wants, and it never confused any device until my S8 started having this issue...

Verizon Galaxy S8 Wi-Fi won't stay connected to FiOS Router

Completely OT, but how do you delete a post? Somehow (I have no idea how) my last one double-posted. Hovering over the pencil icon says "Edit/Delete" but the only option when you actually click it seems to be "Edit". So I just edited the double-post to ask this question. :)
