Well, I got my update last weekend, seems to be a bit more speedy and have a bit less lag when I try to do things. It still isn't as responsive as I'd like it to be, however, it's better than it was after the initial 2.1 update (but still not as good as it was BEFORE).

I have, luckily, only had silent call bug once. But what seems to happen all the time is that the phone rings a few times before the # pops up, then takes its time telling me who it is and then FINALLY if there is a CID picture attached that will pop up. Slow, slow sloooooooowwww.

Silly question for you, but if you don't use the calendars that are in the phone, what calendar do you look at on your phone? Tried turning off the calendar sync to main work calendar and turning back on again, didn't make a difference in color. The home calendar doesn't have a sync option on...

Odd, when I'm in Google Cal (tried it with both the original work sync'd cal and the home cal) and change the colors (did it by click on the calendar name and the little color palette comes up). I change the color, add a "test" notification in and then refresh the phone calendar ... still comes...

You're right about that, but it hasn't changed the colors on my phone - I only seem to have red and blue and cannot change them (not so far anyway).

I also was using handcent before the update, I love the way it's so customizable - after the update its more laggy than, well, I don't know, but it's ridiculous. So, I uninstalled it and tried the regular messaging app, it's not really any better, imho. Installed Chomp and that started causing...
