Thanks for your help guys. Looks like there were two music apps doing this, and I hadn't disable the Samsung Hub music app, which I've done now and seems to have worked. Phone's not rooted, but if the problem returns I'll give this a go! Thanks again.

Not that I can see in the app, and no option to uninstall it...

Sometimes when playing music through Play Music or Spotify, if hit the "play/pause" button on the headphones it will stop what I'm listening to (which is what I want), but then start playing music from the Samsung music app (which I don't want) - this is on a single press of the "play/pause"...
