OK, update. Samsung is sending me some shipping labels and are going to replace the port cover for free. I'll update again once I get the phone back. so I want to avoid breaking this again as much as possible. What wireless charging pad should I buy for this phone?

Samsung seems to be still ignoring the issue. Just pathetic that they won't do what's right and offer an updated design and actually fix the problem. Everyone needs to keep posting on their FB page about this.

hmm, not seeing anything like that. I wonder if it's because I'm still new here, and it doesn't allow me to have that option yet. Anyone else see it, the more news about this being out there, the better chance we actually get a fix.

How do we raise this to their attention, who are the blog editors on this site? I would really like to get this out there more.

Their new trick is to hide these posts from the wall, so other customers can't see it. The last one, 'Jake' asked for the model number and carrier. I supply it, and then they hid the post with no further response. What a terrible company.

They apparently are just going to ignore the issue, and delete comments on their Facebook page now. Never buying anything from Samsung again, if this is how they treat their customers who buy their products.

They sure do like that 'physical damage' line. Won't tell anyone what that actually means either, they basically just want to get your phone in their hands and then try and charge you $70 to replace that little piece.

Exactly what I was thinking, If these replacements were maybe a couple dollars, I would maybe go that route. But not for $20 a pop, and will most likely just break again a week or so later. It's a flawed design, that should never have been released to production. Expecting their...

$20 for something that should be about .25 and will most likely just break again in a few weeks? Samsung needs to improve the design of the hinge, and then maybe I would purchase it.
