I am trying to troubleshoot an error on my Note 4 by disabling the Media Storage and then re enabling it. Only problem is that I cannot disable it because the option to disable IS disabled.... My original issue stems to this...

I agree. Go to samsung site and download Kies. Unplug the phone before opening the application. Let Kies do the work in this case...

There are plenty of options to change res. size or specific settings in stock camera app. Samsung really focused on upping their camera game here...

Also- I'd recommend using Samsung Smart Switch for backups and restoring if you do it that regularly. Your wasting your time by constantly going through the re-install process.

It could be turned off. Go to Settings> Application Manager> Find the application and uninstall... Or you may need to Scroll over to the right to get ALL applications. Or you may need to scroll again to the right to the TURNED OFF applications. See if you can enable from there..

I appreciate your response. So I followed all the above steps. After step 3, I took the picture and it did open the photo properly which in turn re-created the DCIM folder on the phone. I then copied all of the files from the DCIM folder on my computer back onto the newly created DCIM folder on...

Has anyone tried backing up and then restoring from the backup? I tried everything above, and images still do not show up on gallery. =(
