    Just did a fresh reset, same thing... I'm really disappointed now. I got the tab from costco so I have 3 months to decide if I wanna keep it. If samsung don't fix it in the meantime, I guess it will go back for sure.

    Hi, I don't think it's that easy, tbh... There is some kind of a nasty glitch, that is not normal. As I was able to force-update the Google Play app to the latest version by clearing the cache and pressing the app version in the settings. Also, Maps, YouTube etc, all are updated to the latest...

    Yes I did, first thing, updated everything then full system rest as I always do. I tried it twice.

    Apparently it's not just Gmail, but also assistant, drive, and even the Play Store itself (the ones I was able to confirm myself, there may be more)...

    Have been playing with the new S7+ for a few days now and just noticed Gmail has an old plain icon, and the app ver. is old, back from May of this year. Same for Drive (not as old but still). Also Assistant app (which is not pre-installed, like the rest). Even the Play Store app itself is old...
