I am most excited about the front-facing camera and as well as the integrated 4G since my market gets it later this year. This phone is more than twice what the Verizon DROID is and is truly an amazing piece of equipment.

The issue would have to be software based if it worked previously.

Also remember that many features can be added or removed since most of it is software controlled and made to be highly customizable :)

SMS is sent in an area called the "control channel" that follows along side the call, so it MUST use the cellular network in order to function, however you can send an e-mail to PHONENUMBER@vtext.com such as 1234567890@vtext.com or to the carrier's default. Search Google for send text message...

Other than limiting the apps since they don't all work on 2.0... happy as a lark... once Layar comes to Android 2.0 I will be in heaven :)

Works just fine, it is a "Google Experience Phone" and has not really been touched by VZW other than the Market having a special section for items that VZW thinks might be helpful. Remember that a lot of apps cannot work on Android 2.0 right now (such as Layar) due to a major change in the way...

I am what I call a phone abuser, I use my phone constantly and hope to switch to the Sholes after it hits Verizon later this month or next month. My question is what about your BlackBerry do you miss when using your Android phone? Anyone switch from a BlackBerry Storm (the phone I have now)...
