I couldn't get ballistic glass to work at all. I went with the ArmySuit MilitarySheild. It's vinyl and took some getting used to (the feel is different). But it works great and ended my frustration quickly. I've had it 4months and have had no issues.

Verizon store trolls will tell you this phone doesn't work with Verizon. It does, I'm using one on Verizon right now. Set up online, or make them keep calling people until you get someone who can do it.

I will disagree with you one one point. If you are willing to use last year's phone, the waiting game is great! The prices drop and modern phones are good for far past 2 years.
