This is almost exactly what happened with mine. Purchased Dec. 1st 2015, boot looped late August at almost 21 months. So still 3 months left on the contract. LG Canada is eating the shipping and repairing it for free. Got to them last Friday, so I'm just waiting for it to be done and sent back...
