This is the solution that worked for me. I came from an iphone 5 and had the same issues. Also, some of my friends change my contact info from iPhone under the phone number field to android or just mobile and that seemed to work as well.

I also am coming from an iPhone 5. So far, I'm loving this phone and android, just having to get used to some minor things. These recommendations so far have been great. Thanks!
