Sam's Club I got one for my wife just before Christmas from Sam's Club. $179 with $70 dollars in rebates that come off your first bill. Not to mention, they'll also buy your old phone ($22 for the samsung omnia I); not great but better than nothing.

Ugh... I've tried both of the ways suggested in this thread to turn off Haptic feedback and when I type it still happens regardless if I am typing in email or text... Any ideas? I've also removed the battery for a few minutes and tried to turn off the feedback settings in both locations. Nothing.

Complete newbie But if its really possible for beginners to take this and make use of it, I'd like it!

BTW - I did read the part about swype not being in the android market, however, I have heard rumors about ways to get it onto other phones that it does not come pre-installed on.

This great! I started with the Epic and switched to the EVO. Really, the only thing I am missing from the Epic is swype. I have the swiftkey keyboard which is good, but I think I'd still rather have the swype input method. Any way to do that on the Evo now?

Just use swype. You barely need to be literate. I have only been using it for a day and a half and makes everything really easy. Swype is actually one of my favorites features on the phone.

Interesting - My volume rocker does not wake up my screen. The only way I can wake mine up is to press the power button or slide the keyboard out a bit. It's actually one of my annoyances with the phone. Other phones working like mine or does mine have an issue?

I have the same problem with the back button. Frequently I have to press it multiple times before it works, although I seem to be getting better at it. I am considering returning but I was at the store for 1.5 hours today getting mine and I doubt they'll have another one for me anytime soon. The...
