I would suggest returning and getting the 5GA13 for the extra storage capability. Even if not using 5G, the extra storage really seems to make a difference even with just basic functions.

Like everything, companies only make things which generate additional profits. If the majority of people will accept the A series as-is, then absolutely zero reason to add further variations. For me, even though I'm on the 5a, one major draw of the "a" series has been the battery life. My first was 3a, then current 5a which if the lineup continues, will hopefully be followed by 7a next year. I'm a fan of mid-tier devices and these have so far been a great value.

Just updated my 5a to Android 13 production version.

You can either use the physical SIM from Google Fi or download the eSIM which is what I did. I use physical SIM for my AT&T line.
