    I'm also a pilot needing it to work.. Also called Google support 4 days ago, never heard of the problem...do factory reset etc... Question for you, when you return it are you getting another one to try? If so, would like to hear how it's working.. Thanks!

    Just Got off phone with support. She's never heard this problem and suggested I do a factory reset. Just wondering did you do that and if so did it work? Did you return it and does the replacement work or still the same? Thanks!!

    Same exact problem here and I bought the new nexus 7 to use for navigation in an airplane. I really need to know how to fix this issue. Do I need to return and get a different unit?
